Description

Between fall 2022 and spring 2023, four new fields have been added to the HTB:

  1. Classical Studies (launched 2/2023)
  2. Sustainability Studies (launched 5/2023)
  3. North American Studies (terminology ready in Indigenous North American Studies; under revision; ready to be launched 5/2023)
  4. Theology (launched 3/2023)

For the following new fields, terminology work is well advanced, but the topic has not yet been opened:

  1. Mathematics (Mathematics online dictionary transfer underway 5/2023)
  2. Nutrition Sciences (coordination organized)
  3. Interdisciplinarity (expert group activated)
  4. Communication Studies (subcategory Technical Communication active; to be completed in summer 2023)

Terminology work has commenced, but is still in early stages:

  1. Anthropology (grant received for integration of AntroBlog and HTB)
  2. Contaminated Soil Management (active; started in winter 2022/2023; to be completed in the fall of 2023)

Altogether 668 new concept pages have been created in 24 fields between fall 2022 and spring 2023, along with 276 source pages. The most prolific fields have been the following (number of concept pages in parentheses): North American Studies (162); Geology (137); Linguistics (69); and Theology (64). Besides new concept pages, additions and edits to existing concept pages amount to thousands of individual edits.
