Corpus of American Soap Operas (Mark Davies, – Kielipankki version

This resource contains a copy of the original Corpus of American Soap Operas (SOAP), provided by Mark Davies on 4th June 2021 via the corpus service at The corpus contains 100 million words of data from 22,000 transcripts from American soap operas from the years 2001-2012, and it serves as a great resource to look at very informal language. The corpus is related to many other corpora of English, formerly known as the ”BYU Corpora”.
