Resource information

This resource consists of a Nordic database of podcast recordings and their transcripts. The database was originally compiled for a comparative study of English pragmatic loanwords in the Nordic languages and Finnish.
It contains material in Danish, Finnish, Icelandic, Norwegian, and Swedish (Finland Swedish and Swedish spoken in Sweden). The material was collected in 2025 and dates mainly from 2024.
The material has been annotated in accordance with the written language conventions of each language. More recent loanwords from English and code-switching have been highlighted.
