DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to invite you to the Digital Language Sovereignty – Euskadi–Finland AI & Language Workshop\, which takes place on Wednesday\, 22 April 2026\, from 09:00 to 16:00 at the University of Helsinki. \nThis workshop brings together key stakeholders from Euskadi (Basque Country) and Finland to explore current developments and future opportunities in artificial intelligence and language technologies\, with a particular focus on digital language sovereignty and low-resource languages. \nThe programme will cover three main perspectives:\n• Strategic: public policy\, national AI and language strategies\, and infrastructures\n• Scientific and technological: AI\, language models\, and corpora\n• Industrial and applied: real-world use cases and knowledge transfer \nThe workshop is addressed to researchers\, policymakers\, industry professionals\, and practitioners working in AI and language technologies.  \nThe event will be held in English and will be accessible both on-site and online. \nParticipation is free of charge\, but registration is required.
