<S6> good afternoon ladies and gentlemen my name is <NAME S6> and i'm today today i have a presentation of the benefits of IT with uzbekistan communities . erm here's overview of my presentation i'll talk a bit about uzbekistan community about school connectiv- connectivity for uzbekistan programme er for (xx) and internet educational centre er which was opened by this this programme and school as a resource centre for the community and about our next steps , so er community in uzbekistan we call mah- mahalla and a mahalla plays a very great very great role er for example to promote consolidation of the independence of the young republic er to maintain peace and stability citizens' social protection er et cetera and in my er in my presentation er . er i review issues involvi- the incon- inco- incorporation of the ICT into er the successful realisation of tasks in enhancement of the sor- social economic strengthening of the mahalla and one way er one way that I- ICT is being introduced er , to the country's er to the country's community is through school connectivity for uzbekistan programme er which is founded by the bureau of education and cultural affair of US department of state and a- administra- administrated by IREX programme so school connectivity for uzbekistan programme er began this activity in uzbekistan in july 2003 then er , here i- here is goals <COUGH> here are goals of the programme and er develop a network of online schools in uzbekistan integrate er civic and information technology to the classroom and promote sustainability by integrating schools into the community so er by this programme er there opened 60 internet educa- educational internet centres in six <FOREIGN> oblast  </FOREIGN> we can see they selected by s- selected by er red colour it's er andijan er ferghana karshi namangan <COUGH> nuka- nukus and er thi- this is are very er dismal and rural areas of the uzbekistan and where majority of population of uzbekistan resides . and er basically educational internet centres provide trainings er how (xx) using e-mail internet er microsoft office applications and er web web desi- web design trainings also educational internet centres assist teachers er in improving civic education technique and metho- methodology and also internet education centres is resource centre for the community <P:06> er educational internet centres er provide also their activity is the educational economical and social directions er as a part of the programme web portal WWW dot connect dot uz was created which provide er wide activities for community members . for example er community members can use er these subject resources which programme collected er for all topics er by subject taught in schools and . also electronical libraries chontain contain er advanced pedagogical experience er lesson plans and er at present time there is more than 500 lesson plans . er and this is a section for for school students er unfortunately it's o- only largely in uzbek and it er contains different educational services which they can use for educat- for for classes and educational purposes , and also er school connectivity for uzbekistan programme pro- organised 10 projects and they have er special section on the web web portal . for example er educational project history of religion in uzbekistan or cultural diversity er where when peop- er when community members er do some research work they er re- they learn historical places monuments which exist in the community and rural (xx) to their community and er legends er different ceremonies holidays which connected to to those places and also er educational project er from ION from ION organisation er which can be integrated in educational progress for example er get to get to know (xx) project where school students er communicate with school students from different country and they'll learn about each others about cities er countries er in er this project er can be integrated into any (classes) of geography or his- history <P:06> also er online activities organised by the programme like online forums for example er programme's organised forum for school school students er my future profession where community members from <COUGH> from different profession invited er and students can ask different questions about their profession which er helps them to choose er to choose relevant and good profession in the future and then online forums which is representative of educational institutions and a ministry of public education or state's test centres which er (arose) and to get answers to to get answers for entrants er about the educational institutions . and also er educational internet centres provide er provide the resources for representatives of <COUGH> small and medium-sized business for example they can search er from the internet using resources er for business partners and information about necessary goods and services and job vacancy and there is many success stories for example er one person visited our centres and er he he is a representative of ice cream er ice cream factory and he found from internet very interesting er recipe of ice cream from melon and in fact it was very (xx) very sweet and very cheap they also er now they pro- produce er ice cream from melon and you know the er certainly for very er cheap prices and then also they can locate information about about produced gro- goods or services provided <P:07> also er programme organised internet activity erm for sustainable development of the internet ed- education internet centres for example they organised fundraising activity and raised different money er for example in nukus er (sunar wari) raised money and er , buy buy bought from this money additional equipment for for for the centres . and er special special trainings er and activity are or- organised for retired people orphans unemployed people er disabled people members of low-income family , and er also different project organised like global youth service day and earth when families and neighbours er planting trees and flowers cleaning and then er they organised different fundraising activity and er visit er visit er community members er from (xx) group and give them different pres- the present or projects like <COUGH> me against terrorism or say no to slavery were organised different <COUGH> seminars trainings or online forums er essay art exhibitions and also er last year from november till er january organised er several trainings on er . about soc- socially active schools and er beginning of of the march by the programme er was in also this er week of socially active school where schools er showed er the results how the er the results of er how they're be- becoming social active . and er after realisation this project and participation on different online activities trainings seminars community members create different online resources in uzbek russian and karakalpak languages and this is also er how to pro- prove er uzbekistan internet er these online resources in national lang- languages which people speak in uzbekistan . so er y- y- you you saw the role of er internet education centre and the role is very positive so er there is another steps for conti- for continuing our programme and er there is several suggestions organise different proj- projects or professional <COUGH> development courses in the same <COUGH> er shown in this presentation like history of mahalla in different regions of uzbekistan women and IT IT in the achievement of the woman leaders er using internet in the improvement of s- of the small and middle business et cetera and er we expect that after this er completing of these professional courses and project er will be created additional online resources including experience of small and middle business social protection of vario- various group of the citizens' fa- family business et cetera . thank you very much </S6>
